I promised myself that I would exercise this year. I stuck to my exercise schedule for a month, but I did not continue. I used my apartment community fitness gym for a while. I even tried exercising in my apartment. Now, its warm outside and I want to swim. I found some information that will help me exercise while in the swimming pool.
Jump USA says that exercising in the water could help you lower your risk of injury as you increase your exercises. How can you lower your risk of injury? Jump USA states:
- Running in the water prevents your body from pounding against the ground. You land softly.
- Develop a cardio workout without damage to your joints.
- Water massages your muscles while increasing circulation and relaxation.
- Working out in neck deep water improves heart function, lowers blood pressure, heals tissue, and removes metabolic waste. (I would not advise this for non-swimmers)
Call your TriBridge Residential apartment community to learn the rules of the pool; then create your water workout routine. Do you plan to swim this summer?
