Whether the weather outside has dropped to the mid fifties or is cruising below zero, winter weather effects us all in some little way. Keeping your apartment warm and toasty can get expensive in the winter, as you use heat and electricity to keep your one, two, or three bedroom floor plan cozy. You don’t have to kill your bills to stay warm. Instead, use some of these methods to stay warm and budget friendly throughout the season:
- Plug in a humidifier at night. Humidity can raise the temperature in the air, and is an amazing asset when you’re trying to stay warm.
- Bake something, then leave the oven open while it cools (with care taken to watch children and pets, of course). The baked goods will warm you while offering a sweet treat, while the heat from the oven heats the room.
- Enjoy a fire. Does your apartment have a fireplace? Make the most of it! Light a fire this season and enjoy the warm and nostalgic glow while also enjoying energy savings.
