If you’re in the process of moving into a TriBridge Residential apartment, then welcome! We’ve recently shared a few tips to help hire movers that might help in transporting all of your stuff, but what about your pets?
Moving can be very stressful on pets. To help minimize the stress on them (and you) here are a few great tips from Pets Welcome:
- Before moving with your pet, get them a checkup. During this time it’s a good idea to ask your veterinarian about sedation if your pet is going to be traveling far. It’s also a good idea to make sure your pet is up on his or her flea and tick prevention, especially if your pet doesn’t normally go outside.
- Make sure you have all the appropriate paperwork and licenses. Different states have different restrictions so check to make sure you have all the appropriate paperwork for your pet. Also, make sure that your pet’s rabies tag is securely attached to your pet’s collar.
- Make a pet travel bag. Make sure to carry plenty of your pet’s regular food and water along with a dish for each, their favorite toy, a blanket, some treats, clean up bags for dogs, and some towels and cleaning supplies in case of an accident.
