As I listened to the news, I heard many people recounting the events of 9/11/2001. Most people remembered where they were during an event that shaped many lives across the nation.

I sat in my living room, sending resumes to potential employers. I received a phone call from my roommate who told me to turn on the television. As the second plane hit the towers I wondered about the many lives immediately changed. I then thought of my family, a military family. I knew that my cousin would receive a phone call soon, and I wanted to speak with him.

This weekend, visit your local news website and learn about the many events dedicated to the 9/11 tragedy and the individuals who answered the call. Will you attend any of the events? Are you aware of any 9/11 dedicated events? List them here.

This weekend the Jacksonville Jaguars are honoring those brave men and women from our military and first responders. They are also remembering those who lost their lives in that tragic event. If you can’t make it to the game, try the Jacksonville Landing. They will have several events going on to remember as well.
